High Power, Forced-Air Conduction 4+1 3U VPX Enclosure
The CU41 is a 3U VPX ruggedized enclosure with 4 VITA 48.2 payload slots and 1 VITA 62 power supply slot (4+1). Engineered for C5ISR missions with AI-driven ANSYS thermal optimization and the proprietary Blade-Jet® forced-air system — 56W/slot at 71°C, 120W/slot at 55°C ambient.
High Power, Forced-Air Conduction 4+1 3U VPX SAVE½ Enclosure
The CU41S is the SAVE½ variant: same 3U VPX 4+1 slot architecture as the CU41 (4 VITA 48.2 payload + 1 VITA 62 PSU), with a rear-mounted encapsulated expansion panel for power input, pass-through, and aux I/O. Supports 70W/slot at 71°C, 150W/slot at 55°C.
Compact 2+1 3U VPX Enclosure — Integrated Rugged PSU Option
The CU21 is a 3U VPX enclosure with 2 VITA 48.2 payload slots and 1 VITA 62 power supply slot (2+1). Optimised for SWaP-C-constrained platforms — UAVs, rotary wing, and dismounted systems. Uniquely, the CU21 can integrate Cuantico's own rugged 850W VITA 62 PSU module, reducing procurement cost while maintaining full VITA 62 compliance.
8+2 3U High-Power OpenVPX Chassis
The CU82 is Cuantico's highest-density 3U VPX platform — 8 VITA 48.2 payload slots and 2 VITA 62 PSU slots supporting up to 2×850W (1700W total). Featuring patented hybrid forced-air and conduction cooling with AI-optimized ANSYS modeling, it targets radar DSP, AI/ML inference at the edge, and high-power EW.
CU-850PSU — 850W Rugged VITA 62 3U VPX DC/DC Converter — SOSA™ Aligned
Cuantico's rugged 850W VITA 62 power supply module plugs directly into any 3U VPX VITA 62 slot. SOSA™-aligned with up to six configurable outputs, integrated IPMC dual-bus IPMB-A/B, and continuous background BIT. Conduction-cooled via card edge — full load from -40°C to +85°C. Integrated into the CU21 for a cost-optimised 2-slot mission system.
Single-Slot 6U VPX Chassis with Integrated CU850PS — Plate Enclosure
The CU1 is a single-slot 6U VPX plate-style enclosure with an integrated CU850PS power supply module. Ideal for size- and weight-constrained platforms — small vehicles and aircraft. The plate enclosure design enables direct platform surface mounting and maximises heat conduction to the host structure. The integrated CU850PS delivers up to 850W with SOSA™-aligned outputs.
Patented thermal management IP, Gen-5 VPX backplane design, and proprietary power filtering — engineered in-house for maximum performance and mission reliability.
Cuantico's proprietary IP cooling system enables high-power VPX modules to operate without external air sources. Our patented conduction and hybrid cooling paths handle thermal loads far exceeding standard VITA specifications — enabling denser, lighter, and more reliable embedded systems.
Our backplane architectures support Gen-4/5/6 PCIe at 16–32 Gbaud with full signal integrity analysis — TDR, eye diagrams, S-parameters, crosstalk — baked into every design. We engineer for deterministic latency and zero data corruption in the harshest battlefield environments.
The CU1 inline power filter module is Cuantico's own IP — designed to suppress conducted emissions in MIL-STD-461 CE/CS environments. Available for 28VDC and 270VDC MIL platform power buses. Custom impedance profiles available for platform-specific integration.
In-house signal integrity lab performs TDR, frequency-domain analysis, S-parameter extraction, impedance matching, and EMC pre-compliance testing on every board revision. This enables first-pass success and accelerates program schedules.
All Cuantico products are qualified to MIL-STD-461F (EMI/EMC) and MIL-STD-810H (environmental). This includes vibration, shock, altitude, temperature cycling, humidity, sand & dust — ensuring true mission readiness in any theater.
Cuantico leverages CNC machining, 3D carbon/metal fiber composite printing, brazing, and precision sheet metal fabrication to produce rugged enclosures with integrated thermal management. AI-assisted design tools optimize SWaP and structural performance simultaneously.
Cuantico is at the forefront of quantum technology for defense — from quantum sensing payloads to satellite-based Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) for ultra-secure communications.
Cuantico develops quantum sensing payloads for airborne and satellite platforms, leveraging atom interferometry and quantum-enhanced magnetometers for sub-surface imaging, gravity gradiometry, and precision navigation without GPS dependency.
Our quantum communications research targets satellite-to-ground QKD (Quantum Key Distribution) and entanglement distribution for secure, unhackable communications between orbiting assets and ground stations — critical for next-generation SATCOM security.
Integrating quantum receiver technologies into our SOSA-aligned VPX platforms enables unprecedented sensitivity for SIGINT collection. Quantum-enhanced ADCs and photonic signal processing push the boundaries of what's detectable at the edge.
Full-spectrum embedded electronics engineering — from concept through qualification and production.
Advanced PCB/hardware design for VPX, SOSA™ aligned, and MOSA™ compliant modules. Signal integrity, Gen-4/5/6 PCIe, power, thermal, and I/O engineering.
